What is IoT????

IoT means "Internet of Things".

It’s a system where everyday devices are connected to the internet so they can share data, talk to each other, and work smartly.

In simpler words, IoT is when things like fans, watches, lights, TVs, and cars are connected to the internet, so we can control them using our mobile phones-automatically or from anywhere

How AI supports IoT????

IoT devices collect data, and AI helps to understand that data, learn from it, and make decisions without human help. In other words AI gives a brain to IoT — it thinks about what to do with the information collected by IoT devices.

Let’s take an example: A smart thermostat (an IoT device) collects room temperature data every day. AI understands your routine and automatically adjusts the temperature based on that data.

    This helps in saving energy and can even suggest electricity-saving techniques based on your consumption habits.

    AI also understands voice commands like "I'm leaving" and responds by turning off unnecessary devices. In addition, it can send safety alerts if it detects unusual activity or potential risks, such as overheating or devices left on too long.


  4. Robot Vacuum Cleaner

    Robot vacuum cleaners become more intelligent and efficient with AI. It helps the robot understand the layout of your home by mapping the rooms, identifying where furniture and obstacles are located, and planning the best cleaning path.

    It can also recognise objects like books, shoes, or cables and avoid sucking them in by mistake.

    AI allows the vacuum to schedule cleaning tasks based on how often each room needs cleaning. It also supports real-time decision-making — for example, it can switch to deep cleaning mode when it detects a dusty or heavily used area.


  5. Smart Meters

    AI helps smart meters operate in real time, allowing you to see which appliances are consuming the most power at any given moment. It studies your electricity usage patterns and helps you understand how energy is used during different times of the day — such as cooking, washing, morning, evening, or afternoon routines.

    Based on this analysis, AI provides smart energy-saving suggestions, like using the washing machine during off-peak hours. This gives you better control over electricity usage and helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
